OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 13. The successor to the OnePlus 12 will be unveiled in China on October 31 at 4 PM, which is 1 PM in Pakistan. The OnePlus 13 is anticipated to be one of the first smartphones to feature the highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Color Options
The OnePlus 13 will be available in three unique color options:
- White Dawn: Features Silk Glass technology for a smooth and sophisticated finish.
- Blue Moment: First in the industry to showcase a BabySkin texture, designed to feel soft like human skin.
- Obsidian Secret: Offers an Ebony Wood Grain Glass finish, resembling natural wood for a distinctive look.
Design and Display
The OnePlus 13 will sport a micro-quad-curved display and a circular camera module at the back. In a departure from previous designs, the camera module is separate from the phone’s frame but retains the stove-like appearance seen on past models.
Leaks suggest that the 6.82-inch 2K OLED display will come with a 120Hz refresh rate and likely LTPO technology for better power efficiency. The display is expected to have extremely thin bezels to match the current flagship phone design trends.
Camera and Performance
The OnePlus 13 is expected to come with:
- 50MP LYT-808 main camera for top-tier photography.
- 32MP front camera for high-quality selfies.
- The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, offering groundbreaking performance, accompanied by up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Battery and Charging
The device will be powered by a massive 6,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This should ensure that the OnePlus 13 will last long and charge quickly.
Availability
While the OnePlus 13 will be launched in China on October 31, it may take a few months before it hits global markets.
