Infinix has just released the Infinix Zero 40 offering both 5G and 4G models simultaneously. While there are some differences between the two, they share many similar features. Both models come equipped with a curved AMOLED display and support 45W fast charging with dual batteries. A key distinction between the two is the camera design, allowing users to easily differentiate them.
Display Review:
Both the 5G and 4G versions of the Zero 40 boast a 6.74″ curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and features an Always-on Display. However, the 5G model has an edge with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the 4G variant is limited to 120Hz.
Camera Specifications:
The camera setup on both models is impressive, significantly improved from previous generations. Both feature a 108 MP main camera with a 1/1.67″ sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Additionally, there’s a 50 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies, both models come with a 50 MP front camera.

Performance:
The 4G model is powered by a Helio G100 chip, which limits its video recording capabilities to 2K. On the other hand, the 5G version, equipped with a Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset, supports 4K video recording and offers a significant performance boost with its nearly flagship-level 3.1GHz SoC compared to the 4G’s 2.2GHz processor.
Battery and Charging:
Both models have a 5000mAh battery and support 45W fast charging. However, the 5G variant stands out with 20W wireless charging and Wi-Fi 6e support, features absent in the 4G model. Both models include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
Software and Pricing:
Infinix has committed to providing 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates for both models, which come with Android 14 out-of-the-box. The 5G model, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage (UFS 3.1), is priced around $395 (~PKR 110,000). Meanwhile, the 4G version, also with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage (UFS 2.2), is more affordable at approximately $279 (~PKR 77,000).
